Missions and But God Ministries in Haiti

“It is imperative to ask ourself every morning, ‘What will I give to those around me today?’”

Dr. Cope devotes much of this time and his talents to those who are in need of not only dental care, but also hope and an encouraging word.  He has been actively involved in mission work on the local, national, and international level.  He has participated in medical/dental mission trips to Honduras, Belize, and Trinidad.  He currently serves on the board of But God Ministries, a Christian outreach to the devastated country of Haiti, seeking to build a sustainable community meeting physical and spiritual needs of those desolate people.  With the help of many dentists, especially Dr. Fortenberry and Dr. Michael Nichols, over the past 3 years he has led in establishing a dental clinic there in Haiti and in the summer of 2013 helped build a playground with 17 swings, possibly the only playground in the country. The ministry umbrella is But God Ministries. Click here   to see some pictures and to learn what “SPHERE” stands for and possibly to even go on a mission trip to Haiti yourself.

He is also a supporter of Mission First in downtown Jackson.  Please visit these two web sites for more information, www.missionfirst.org. and butgodministries.com.  He is actively involved at the First Baptist Church in Jackson, MS where he serves as a deacon and with his wife helps teach a young married age group Sunday school class.
